Terms of Use

Your account

You create an account by signing in with Google or with a Microsoft work or school account. We do not issue passwords and never see yours — keeping your account secure is your responsibility. Each person has one card, created automatically when you first sign in. You must not create an account for anyone other than yourself, or hold yourself out as someone you are not.

What you put on your card

Your card content stays yours — we don't claim ownership of your name, photo, details or anything else you add. To make DropCard work, you give us permission to store, reproduce and display that content to you and to anyone you share your card with. You're responsible for what you put on your card: that it's accurate, that it's genuinely your own professional identity, and that you have the right to use every part of it.

Sharing, and what happens after

DropCard is built so that someone can see and keep your card without an account and without installing anything — that's the point of the product. Anything on your card can be seen by anyone you share it with, and by anyone they pass it to. A saved card cannot be recalled: once someone saves your details into their phone's contacts, that copy belongs to them, and deleting your DropCard account cannot reach it.

The spoken introduction

DropCard can turn a few lines you write into a short spoken introduction, generated with the help of AI services and played from your card in a synthetic voice you choose. A draft written or rewritten by AI is a suggestion — publishing it is your decision, and the claims it makes are yours. The voices are synthetic stock voices, not a recording of any real person, and must not be used to impersonate anyone. The audio is public, the same as the rest of your card.

Using DropCard fairly

Use DropCard for its purpose: sharing your professional identity with people you meet. You must not:

• impersonate anyone, or create a card for a person or organisation you don't represent;
• use DropCard for unsolicited bulk messages or to harvest contact details at scale;
• upload anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• attempt to access another person's account, data or connections;
• probe, overload, disrupt or reverse engineer DropCard, or scrape or resell any part of it.

DropCard is free, and that shapes what we promise

DropCard is free — for individuals and for organisations — with no charge, no subscription and no cap, and we intend it to stay that way. Because it's free and we're a small team: we may change, add to, or remove features; we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free; and if we ever discontinue DropCard, we'll give reasonable notice and a way to export your card and connections first.

Our intellectual property

DropCard — the software, design, name, logo and everything in it apart from your own content — belongs to AppAgility Limited. These terms give you permission to use DropCard, not any ownership of it.

Ending it

You can stop using DropCard whenever you like. To have your account and everything tied to it deleted, use dropcard.ai/delete-account — you don't need to be signed in and you don't need the app installed. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms; where reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

Enterprise licensing

Organisations that license DropCard to run as their own branded platform do so under a separate written licence agreement, not these terms. If you use a branded application built on a DropCard licence, your relationship is with that organisation, governed by their own terms and privacy policy.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. If something goes wrong, please contact us first — most things are resolved in an email.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product or the law changes. The current version is always at dropcard.ai/terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect.
